Order Policies
Please read these policies and disclaimers. They contain important information about your quote and your order. We have been booked up every week for years, and this process is how we make sure every customer has the best possible experience.
All orders are booked online
All orders are booked online. (That is not a typo, it is that important.) We do not take phone orders or discuss orders over the phone. If you feel your order needs more attention, please schedule a consultation or tasting through our website: book a cake tasting. The staff who answer the phone are not bakers or decorators and do not have access to your order.
Quotes are good for 24 hours
Once you accept a quote, we generate an invoice and email it to you to pay online. We cannot generate an invoice without flavors, fillings, and wording (if applicable). Once sent, an invoice is valid for 24 hours, with the only exception being orders due in 7 days or less. Any unpaid invoice is subject to cancellation. Please check your spam folder, as that is almost always the reason a quote has not arrived.
Order minimums
Custom cookies and cake pops have a 2 dozen minimum as a stand-alone product.
Order paid equals order guaranteed
A paid invoice guarantees your order for the date listed on the invoice.
Pick-up time
Your pickup time is listed on your invoice. Please review and verify it before paying. We are closed on Sundays; if you request a Sunday order, it will be quoted for Saturday pickup between 9am and noon (we close promptly at noon). In rare cases we can accommodate a later pickup for a fee to cover staff time. Monday orders are picked up between 1pm and 3pm.
Accuracy of your invoice
When you receive your invoice, please review it before paying for accuracy of color, spelling of names, order details, and pickup time. Once you are booked and paid, changes or moving the date are not permitted. When we can accommodate a change, it incurs an additional fee of at least $10. This includes changing the pickup day or time.
Accuracy at pickup
Please inspect your order at pickup to make sure it matches the invoice. We run a very low error rate, and in the rare event something is off, we can usually correct it in a few minutes. An error on our part cannot be discussed or compensated once the order has left our bakery.
Cake transportation and care
Cakes need to travel on a flat surface in your vehicle and should go straight to their destination. Keep the air conditioner on high, even on milder days. Never leave an order in a hot car or in direct sunlight. Refrigeration is not required but is suggested when possible, until a few hours before serving. Your custom order is a piece of art, please treat it that way. Most issues happen when sweets are left in a hot car during a quick stop on the way home.
